Michael J. Fine, MD, is Medical Director at Health Net in Huntington Beach, California, where he is responsible for Commercial and Medicare products.

Dr. Fine earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. He completed his fellowship and residency at the University of Rochester Associated Hospitals Program. 

Before beginning his career in Managed Care, Dr. Fine was a faculty member at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine where he developed and led the Geriatrics program for 17 years.

Dr. Fine is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with added qualifications in Geriatrics. He serves on the editorial advisory board for Bayer HealthCare Digest and is a member of the Amgen Prolia Steering Committee.  Dr. Fine has authored a number of papers on Geriatrics and managed care.
