Jeffrey D. Dunn, PharmD, MBA, is Senior Vice President at VRx, an integrated Pharmacy Services Management Company (PSM). VRx incorporates PBM functions, P&T/formulary management, Medication Therapy Management (MTM)/Integrated Care Management (ICM), and government functions for commercial and Medicare Part D employer groups and health plans.
Dr. Dunn is a board member at VRx. At VRx, he oversees clinical functions and manages the P&T process, contracting, and formularies for commercial and Medicare Part D. He also helps set strategy for the PSM, including specialty management. VRx provides services to over 200,000 commercial members and over 10,000 Medicare Part D members.
Previously, Dr. Dunn was the Formulary and Contract Manager for SelectHealth (formerly known as Intermountain Health Care (IHC) Health Plans) in Salt Lake City, Utah. SelectHealth is part of the integrated Intermountain Healthcare system that is comprised of 25 hospitals, 150 physician clinics and surgery centers, and more than 1,000 employed community-based physicians. SelectHealth provides services to approximately 550,000 commercial members, 5,000 Medicare MAPD members, and approximately 80,000 managed Medicaid lives.
Dr. Dunn is an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the Utah Pharmaceutical Association. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy (JMCP) and Managed Care Interface, an editor for the International Scholarly Research Network and Oncology Business News, and sits on the editorial board of the American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC).
An invited speaker at numerous professional meetings, Dr. Dunn has also been published on a wide range of subjects in the JMCP, AJMC, and Drug Benefit Trends, among others. He also teaches Pharmacy Management classes at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Dunn earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and his Master of Business Administration degree from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. |
