Dr. Sydney Leibel is a board-certified pediatric allergist/immunologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

In addition to caring for allergy and immunology patients, Dr. Leibel helped develop Rady Children's Food Allergy Center and is working with the Pulmonary Medicine, Community Health Work, Psychology, Pharmacy and Social Work Departments to develop a multidisciplinary Severe Asthma Clinic. Through these clinics, he hopes to address social determinants of health and resilience in pediatric populations.

Dr. Leibel attended UC San Diego as an undergraduate before earning his medical degree at Flinders University in South Australia. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Utah, then continued his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed a Master of Public Health through the University of Waterloo in Canada.
