Jo Ellen Rodgers, PharmD, BCPS-AQ Cardiology, FCCP, FHFSA is a Clinical Associate Professor at University of North Carolina (UNC) Eshelman School of Pharmacy. After obtaining a bachelor of science in pharmacy and a doctor of pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she completed a pharmacy practice and critical care specialty residency at the Medical College of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy at UNC. She is currently a clinical associate professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics, where she serves as associate director of clinical fellowship programs. She maintains an active clinical practice with the UNC Cardiomyopathy and Cardiac Transplant Service at UNC Hospitals, and her primary research interest is in the care of heart failure patients.

 

Dr. Rodgers is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Cardiology. She has served on the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Board of Regents. She is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Heart Failure Society of America, and she has been recognized as a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.

 

Dr. Rodgers currently serves on the Guideline Committee of the Heart Failure Society of America and as incoming Chair of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Pharmacotherapy Specialty Council.
