Ashley Ellis, PharmD, MBA, CDECS is a NEA Ambassador and ImPAct Director & Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Transaction Science, College of Pharmacy. .

 

Dr. Ellis oversees the new accelerated track, and she is excited to help build something new within the College of Pharmacy. She said she understands people have different responsibilities and needs as they further their education, and she hopes the new pathway opens the door for a more diverse population of people to join the pharmacy profession.

 

Dr. Ellis is from Olive Branch, Mississippi, and earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Mississippi. he then did a residency at Shenandoah University in Virginia. Dr. Ellis served on the faculty at Shenandoah University for a short time before returning to the University of Mississippi as course director for their PY2 skills lab. While at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, she practiced in northern Mississippi as part of the Mississippi Delta Patient Medication Management Project before going into consulting and later opening an independent pharmacy.
