Program Overview As novel agents become available to treat multiple myeloma (MM), treatment decision making is becoming more complex. In light of new drug developments as well as expanding uses of current agents, managed care organizations (MCOs) and other payer organizations need to appropriately and effectively design benefits that optimize both cost-efficiency and patient outcomes. Emerging clinical and economic techniques, practical examples, and expert recommendations will be formulated to illuminate key learnings using MM as the therapeutic area of focus.
